Before I got into photography, I noticed something about most family portraits. The memories correlated with those traditional, "pose and count to three" photos were usually regarding how miserable the models were and how much they didn't want to be taking them. This got me thinking...it shouldn't be this way! If photos are tangible memories of special moments in our lives, then I want my pictures to convey real emotions. I want my clients to be able to pick up one of my photos ten years from now and tear up because, by looking at that image, you can actually feel the love between that grandmother and grandchild, mom and baby, husband and wife. So, that's how I take photos...no posing on the sand dunes while I count to three and wait until everyone has a forced smile on their face....just me popping in to follow you around and document a real hour of your life- whatever that may look like. Yes, it may seem weird that I'm still taking pictures while your three year old is in full blown tantrum mode, but trust me when I say you will belly laugh looking at them a few years down the road. And one thing I've come to realize after years of this kind of photography- there is no beauty like reality. Obviously, all parents want some pretty photos too and don't worry! $500- 10 am beach family session- 1 hour shooting (one family + grandparents) online gallery with free high quality downloads and easy print order option. Each additional family is $150 and 1/2 hour longer session to ensure all families get adequate camera time.
$600- sunset family session- same as above, time begins around an hour before sunset.
